Outline Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu
Day 2 – Sightseeing around Kathmandu and trek preparation.
Day 3 – Drive(6-7hour) to Pokhara.
Day 4 – Drive to Kade and trek to Potana.
Day 5 – Trek to Jinu Dada (hotspring)
Day 6 – Trek to Tadapani.
Day 7 – Tadapani to Gorepani.
Day 8 – Gorepani to Poon hill and trek down to Hile.
Day 9 – Trek down to Naya pool and drive to Pokhara.
Day 10 – Fly back to Kathmandu.
Day 11 – Final departure.

Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking is a short and easy adventure around Annapurna region for all kind of trekkers. The views of the Annapurna Himalayas, the overall natural beauties and cultural experience make Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking extra special. Poonhill view point exhibits the best views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Himchuli, Machhapuchre and other neighboring peaks.
Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking starts from scenic lake city of Pokhara and end in Pokhara. The trail winds through patchwork valleys, dense mossy forests and many angelic waterfalls where you can stop to cool off. One of the important highlight of this trip is to make a climb on Poonhill. When the sun rises, it touches the snow-capped summits the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8167m) and Annapurna(8091m) along with a maze of other peaks, there it gradually appears, just like magic which your mind could never imagine before your eyes see it.
Experience Required
This trek is suitable for fit walkers or those with previous trekking experience. If you are a regular weekend hill walker, this would be a good next trek for you.
Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1400m/4,620ft)
We will pick you up from the Kathmandu airport and drop you to the hotel where you will stay for two night. In the evening you will have time to explore Kathmandu or relax.
Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.
Our professional city guide will take you to famous hindus temple Pasupatinath, Buddhist stupa Boudhanath and monkey temple Shyambunath. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara(910m/3,000ft)), 5/6 hrs hike
Early in the morning we drive (200km) for Pokhara by very luxury bus. Overnight at Pokhara.
Day 04: Drive to Kade (1 hour drive) and trek to Potana (2006m.), 3 hrs hike
Drive to Kande (1770m) for an hour. Trek to Potana(2060m) passing through Australian camp for about 3 hours. This is a stunning place surrounding by jungle and Mt. Fishtail is just in front of you. Overnight stay in Teahouse.
Day 05: Potana to Jhinu Dada(2130m.), 5-6 hrs hike
we climb to Duerali with stunning view of Annapurna himalayan range and drop down to Landruk for Lunch. then we continue trek to Jhinu Dada. we will go to Jhinu hot spring in the afternoon and relax in hot spring.
Day 06: Jhinu Dada to Tada Pani, 5-6 hrs hike
We will pass through some small Gurung settlements, a landslide, and a suspension bridge before climbing the steep hill until Tadapani. Today’s trek will be 5-6hrs long. Amazing views of sunrise on Machhapuchhre Himal and other scenic views of Gangapurna and Annapurna Himal Range can be viewed from Tadapani where we will stay overnight.
Day 07: Tadapani to Gorepani (2850m), 4 hrs hike
This day, we will lower down through rhododendron forest and take a brief ascend before lowering down to reach Ghorepani which locates itself at 2850m altitude. We can have a sight of many beautifully decorated horse and mule caravans in Ghorepani where we will stay overnight.
Day 08: Gore pani to Poon Hill and trek down to Hile. 7-8 hour hike
we go to Poon Hill in the early morning for sunset over magnificent Mt. Daulagir, Annapurna himalayan range and Mt. Machapuchre. we come down to Gorepani and trek down all the way to Hile. today is long day downhill with lots of steps. we celebrate with cold beer in Hile.
Day 09: HIle to Nayapool and drive to Pokhara. 2 hour walk & 2 hrs drive
we continue trek down Naya pool for about 1 hour and drive back to Pokhara for about 1.30 hour. ofter we clean our self, we go to walk around Fewa Lake. you can do a boating in Fewa lake if you wish. we celebrate our trek with good food and drink and probably some dance.
Day 10: fly back to Kathmandu
We fly back to Kathmandu. In the afternoon you have an option to go for shopping in Thamel or relax in hotel.
Day 11: final departure
we will drop you to the Kathmandu International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal.

Weather conditions and health of team members can all contribute to changes. Our Sherpa guides will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if necessary.

What are excluded
- Nepal entry visa fee(USD $25 for 15 days, 40 for 30 day and 100 for 90 days), you may easily issue the visa upon your arrival at Kathmandu Airport.
- International airfare to and from Kathmandu.
- Charges incurred as a result of delays or itinerary changes beyond the control of Sherpa Land Adventure. We recommend travel insurance to cover any unforeseen costs.
- Your Travel and rescue insurance.
- Personal expenses (phone calls,internet, laundry, bar bills, battery recharge, extra porters, bottle or boiled water, shower etc).

Gears
You are advised to consider the following equipment as essential while packing. Please use this list as a guideline. Adjustments to the list can be managed according to your requirements, interests, duration of trip, and season of trip. We can find a variety of these items to hire locally or buy in Kathmandu.
It is important to remember that our luggage will be carried by porters and there is a weight limitation of approximately 33 pounds (or 15 kg).
